OpenSignal Cell Tower Database

When planning your LAN-Cell or PocketPORT installation, it is often helpful to know which carriers have the best signal at your location and where their towers are located.  OpenSignal has built one of the most comprehensive independent databases of cellular towers and coverage area.  Check out their free web site and smartphone app to determine if you'll need a booster or high-gain antenna before you go on site.  It's a "must have" app when installing directional antennas!

PocketPORT 2 Firmware v2.2.41 Released

Firmware v2.2.41 for the PocketPORT 2 has been release.  The most significant change in this release is auto-configuration of several additional USB modems.  Note that beginning with firmware v2.2.38, PocketPORTs running in Virtual Cable Mode can only communicate with other PocketPORTs running the same or later firmware due to a change in the Virtual Cable security protocols.
